What about "Singing"?

SINGING. This word had me at exhaustion, excitement and exercise. What?!

For the past few months, I didn't have any business at school but to practice every afternoon from 4pm-7pm! You might gonna say it's OA but to tell you, it's for a cause.

Last December 5-8 was the PASUC Cultural Festival and the Nasudi Chorale, the official choir group of Mariano Marcos State University, where I sing as a bass, joined the said contest.

Like any other contests, there's a winner and sad fact, a loser. You might ask me if we won, the answer is NO! We only ranked second and saying that we (this feeling is mutual to all of us in the group) didn't win is so disappointing to death! We just can't accept the fact that the winner was the host school! You've read it right. The host school. Analyze this situation, their sopranos are so SABOG, their tenors are FLAT, their altos are so CHAKA (ooops, sorry for the indecent term), and their basses, oh never mind. Now let me ask you, do they deserve to win?

Okay, these words are not about sour graping, projecting, defense mechanism and the like. But these words are mere facts and rightful to bloat out. Even though this competition stressed us, we still felt like we where the champion. When we went out of the contest venue, the chorale group of the University of Northern Philippines (third placers) approached us saying, "Para sa amin, kayo dapat ang nanalo kase mas magaling kayo." Thank you so much UNP Choir. You're saying the truth and nothing but the truth.

I will no longer tell the name of the school, who happened to be the host and the undeserved winner.
